Welcome, and congratulations on joining the Pass Your Official Exam program!

In this unique program, we will help you pass your next official exam.

Here’s how the program will work:

Step 1: Prepare your first live Call

Before joining your first live call with us, there is some homework you can do on your own to be prepared for the call so we can get the most out of it and don’t waste valuable time.

Take a mock exam of the exam you want to take.

Usually, you’ll find on the official site of the institution of the exam you want to take at least one mock exam.

You can find e.g. a Goethe mock exam here or a Telc mock exam here. (If you can’t find any mock exam, email me and I’ll help you out).

The exam has usually 4 parts, Lesen (reading), Hören (listening), Schreiben (writing) and Sprechen (speaking).

Try the first 3 parts, Lesen (reading), Hören (listening), Schreiben (writing) in this order.

So first, try the Lesen (reading) and Hören (listening) exercises. These are ofetntimes “multiple choice” tests where you can get immediate feedback on your answers so you can see what percantage you get right.

Try those Lesen (reading) and Hören (listening) exercises and take some notes if you have any questions like “I don’t understand why this answer is wrong/right” or “I don’t understand this word/expression/question”.

In the Call we can then go through all your questions.

If you get 50% or more correct answers in Lesen (reading) and Hören (listening), it looks great.

Yes, in the exam you’ll need at least 60%, but 50% is a great starting point and you’re going to get better over time in this program.

If you get just 20% right, we might discuss in our first call how to review your German so you improve this grade.

Next, try the Schreiben (writing) exercises.

For this, take a pencil and a paper. (Yes, you need to practice under exam conditions.)

Try the writing exercises and after that take a picture and send it to me via email (Write in the subject line for example: “Writing exercises for the B1 Goethe exam”). Add also always the exercise so I get the context.

I’ll take your written exercises and record a video where I’ll review and correct your Schreiben (writing) exercises and give you valuable tips and tricks to improve them.

You can find the video with your reviewed written exercises as well as other videos from other students here. (You can expect the Video 1-2 days after you sent me the email.)

Watch also other videos so you can learn from other reviews and other students.

Step 2: Join your first live call

Now that you’ve tried the first 3 parts of a mock exam, you can come prepared to your first call.

Click here to sign up for the call.

In the call, we can go through all your questions about the Lesen (reading), Hören (listening) and Schreiben (writing) exercises.

Then, we’ll start practicing the Sprechen (speaking) exercises. This part is something we will do together.

So in the calls basically we’ll cover your questions about Lesen (reading), Hören (listening), and Schreiben (writing) and practice Sprechen (speaking).

Step 3: Prepare your second live Call

We’ll repeat this same process for at least 2 more mock exams because you don’t want to “rise to the ocasion” the day of the exam, but rather “sink to the level of your training” so you feel more comfortable, less stressed and fearful since you are familiar with the structure of the exam and the exercises and know what to expect.

So take another mock exam. You might find some more on the internet, on some forums or FB groups or you could buy an “examination” book for 10-20 euros in a bookstore or at amazon.

Try again before our next Call the 3 parts as explained at Step 1.

Step 4: Join your second live call

Click here to sign up for the call.

We’ll proceed as discussed at Step 2.

Step 5: Prepare your 3rd live Call

Prepare your next call as described at Step 3.

Step 6: Join your 3rd live call

In the rest of the calls we’ll repeat the process as dicussed before until we go at least through 3 complete mock exams (the more the better).

Any questions, any struggle? Just drop an email here.
