Here are some of the sample sentences I go through in the podcast: 

 

Ich antworte der Frau.

(I answer to the woman.)

I reply to the woman.

 

Ich antworte meinem Mann.

(I answer to my husband.)

I reply to my husband.

 

Warum hast du mir nicht geantwortet?

(Why have you to me not answered?)

Why haven’t you replied to me?

 

Ich habe Ihnen geantwortet.

(I have to you Sir answered.)

I have replied to you.

 

Ich habe dir nicht geantwortet, weil ich keine Zeit hatte.

(I have to you not answered, because I no time had.)

I haven’t replied to you because I had no time.

 

Weil ich keine Zeit hatte, habe ich dir nicht geantwortet

(Because I no time had, I have to you not answered)

Because I had no time, I haven’t replied to you.
