Gefällt dir deine Arbeit?

(Appeals to you your work?)

Do you like your work?

Sie gefällt mir.

(She appeals to me.)

I like it.

Gefällt deinen Kindern die Schule?

(Appeals to your children the school?)

Do your children like the school?

Sie gefällt ihnen.

(She appeals to them.)

They like it.

Hat deinem Freund der Film gefallen?

(Has to your friend the movie appealed?)

Did your friend like the movie?

Er hat ihm gefallen.

(He has to him appealed.)

He liked it.
