This is “Engineers around Germany”, the podcast show where I interview inspiring engineers, who are working in a German speaking country telling us their story and experience with their German project.
I’m thrilled to introduce my guest tonight, Nick.
Nick is an electrical engineer from Australia. He worked in Australia as a project engineer and in 2013 he decided to move to Switzerland. Today he’s working at ABB, an electrical engineering company that produces large scale electrical installations.

- Why starting with German as soon as possible can be a great advantage
- The different type of visas you can get in Switzerland
- What problems you can have with your visa when moving from one city to another
- How frustrating the bureaucracy in Switzerland can be
